We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Immigration Paralegal to support our legal team in delivering high-quality immigration services. In this role, you will be instrumental in case management, document preparation, and client communication. Compensation commensurate with qualifications and work experience. Potential to become an employee after 9 months. Preference to WA & OR residents.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review legal documents, including non-immigrant petitions, green card applications, and citizenship forms
Manage case files and organize supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and procedural requirements
Communicate with clients via email and phone to gather information and provide updates
Ensure all submissions comply with USCIS and relevant immigration regulations
Assist attorney with case preparation and client meetings
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of immigration law, with demonstrated experience in employment-based (H, L, TN, O, E type cases) and family-based immigration cases
Experience preparing and submitting USCIS and USDOS petitions/applications
Proficiency in legal document preparation and case file management
Understanding of immigration issues and processes, including requirements for status adjustments, visa bulletins, maintaining legal permanent residence, defending RFEs, NOIDs and audits
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
Professional written and verbal English communication skills, with ability to interact effectively with clients and legal teams
Proficiency in legal research tools and technology
1-2 years prior work experience in an immigration law firm
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, French, or another language preferred
