Position: Removal Defense Attorney

We are seeking a full-time immigration attorney to join our removal defense team. You’ll represent immigrants in EOIR proceedings, bond hearings, and defensive applications for relief.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent detained and non-detained clients before EOIR and in bond proceedings

• Prepare and argue cancellation of removal, bond, and other defenses

• Prep clients and appear virtually for master and individual hearings

• Collaborate with paralegals and the intake team to manage a high-volume caseload

• Review and supervise filings prepared by support staff

• Conduct client consultations and provide high-touch service throughout the case

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing in any U.S. state
  (Preference for California, New Jersey, or New York – but not required)

• Experience preferred (1–2 years), but strong candidates with clinical immigration law experience during law school are encouraged to apply

• Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred, but not required

• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Strong interpersonal and client communication skills

• Tech-savvy, organized, and comfortable working in a fully remote environment
