Are you an experienced municipal attorney with a strong background in land use, contracts, and transactional law? If so, apply to be the City of Hollywood’s next Senior Assistant City Attorney.
The City is seeking a highly skilled legal professional who brings sound judgment, independence, and deep municipal experience to support City leadership and operations. The ideal candidate will be:
Experienced in land use, housing, and development matters
Skilled in drafting ordinances, resolutions, and complex contracts
Trusted to advise boards, departments, and elected officials
The City of Hollywood, Florida, is a vibrant coastal community of more than 153,000 residents located
between Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Known for its seven miles of beaches, lively downtown, and
strong neighborhood identity, Hollywood blends urban vitality with a welcoming community feel.
Hollywood operates under a Commission-Manager form of government with a Mayor and six City Commissioners. The Senior Assistant City Attorney reports to the City Attorney.
The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable municipal attorney with strong transactional experience and a demonstrated ability to work independently on complex legal matters.
Required qualifications include:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar
Minimum of five years of experience practicing municipal or transactional law
