Okan Immigration Law Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Immigration Attorney to join our team. We are especially looking for candidates with solid experience in humanitarian immigration law. The attorney will handle a wide range of immigration matters, including but not limited to asylum cases, marriage-based green card applications, immigration court representation, and mandamus actions.
Key Requirements: THIS POSITION OFTEN REQUIRES TRAVEL.
Responsibilities
• Provide legal representation and counsel to clients in various immigration matters. • Supervise immigration applications, petitions, and supporting documentation. • Represent clients in immigration court hearings, USCIS interviews, and mandamus actions as needed. • Conduct thorough legal research and develop effective case strategies. • Stay up-to-date with changes in immigration laws, regulations, and policies. • Communicate professionally with clients, agencies, and stakeholders involved in the immigration process.
Qualifications
• 2–5 years of experience practicing immigration law, with a strong background in: - Asylum cases - Marriage-Based Green Cards - Immigration court representation - USCIS interviews and mandamus actions • Business immigration experience is a plus, but not required. • Admission to the California Bar is a plus, but not required. • Comprehensive knowledge of immigration laws and procedures. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Exceptional attention to detail and time management. • Ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously. • Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus. • Comfortable working remotely and traveling as needed. • Stays updated on immigration regulations and incorporates changes into case strategies and client advice.
