Greenwood Village is a premier community in the Denver metropolitan area known for its high quality of life, exceptional municipal services, and strong sense of community. Located just south of Denver, the City offers convenient access to major employment centers, top-rated schools, and world-class outdoor recreation in the nearby Rocky Mountains. The City of Greenwood Village operates under a council-manager form of government.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in municipal law and a strong understanding of Colorado statutes and local government operations. They will be a collaborative and responsive leader who works effectively with elected officials, executive leadership, and the community. This individual will demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills, sound legal judgment, and the ability to navigate complex and sensitive issues. Experience with municipal water law, development regulations, and legislative processes is highly valued. The successful candidate will be engaged, adaptable, and committed to organizational excellence and public service.
Required:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
Minimum five (5) years of municipal law experience
Licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado
Preferred:
Experience advising elected officials and executive teams
Supervisory or leadership experience
Expertise in land use, water law, or municipal development.
The salary for this position is $190,000-$250,000 (DOE/DOQ).
