ABOUT HOME IS HERE: Home Is Here is a small growth-stage nonprofit organization that cultivates systems of support with and for newly arriving immigrants in the Gulf South, focused on those impacted by detention. We believe in a culture of democratized resources and partnership, collective liberation, and belonging where everyone has a valued place and power. Home is Here builds alternative community infrastructure with immigrants who arrive without family or community support and are criminalized, incarcerated, and excluded from government-funded systems.
