Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Attorney approved to practice law in NYS. Three (3) years of full-time responsible experience in program development, evaluation, design of training materials or in supporting services. Experience/knowledge with Child Protective Services (CPS), Social Services law and the Family Court Act. Teaching and/or training experience. Must have, keep and maintain the appropriate valid NYS Driver's License; have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations. Brief Description of Duties:
The Child Protective Services Education Specialist will conduct a series of mandatory trainings for Child Protective Services (CPS) case workers. Most training will take place in the Albany area at a training facility or virtually on Webex (approx. 50/50 at this time).

Duties:

• Conduct training of the legal content of NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) mandated courses.

• Assist with development and revision of curricula.

• Ensure that all materials are updated according to legislative changes.

• Ensure that other attorneys are providing updated material consistently across curricula.

• Work with sponsor and other vendor around scheduling other attorneys for in person and virtual trainings.

• Other duties as assigned.

Special Notes:
The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.

This is a part time position.

Travel to Albany is required.
