Under general supervision from City Attorney, provides legal services to City Council, staff, boards and commissions.
Minimum qualifications:
Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited educational institution. Current law students scheduled to receive their J.D. in May 2025 are eligible for hire. Admission to Iowa Bar to practice law in Iowa courts required no later than September 30, 2025. Must pass criminal background check.
Preferred qualifications:
Current admission to practice law in Iowa courts. Three years of related experience. Real estate development and/or transactional experience.
