Hybrid/Remote is allowed.

We are seeking a full-time or part-time associate lawyer (minimum 20 hours per week) to assist us with our expanding business and immigration law practice.  We are an established law firm (25+ years) in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with US-based and international clients.  Open to hybrid work arrangement (partial in office and partial remote).   Seeking applicants with at least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients regarding legal strategies.
  • Draft and review contracts, business filings, and other legal documents.
  • Appear in court to protect clients' interests.
  • Review and file pleadings.
  • Work with paralegals and legal assistants.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor Degree and at least two years of experience.
  • Admitted to the Virginia Bar (or pending).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of corporate law.
  • Experience with asset-based acquisitions preferred.
  • Understanding of contract formation and negotiation, business formation, mergers and acquisitions, commercial leases, employment agreements, etc.
