Attorney III (Litigation)
Incumbents will handle civil litigation matters in state court, in federal court, and before administrative bodies. Duties include conducting discovery; arguing motions; presenting evidence at hearings; preparing for trials before judges and juries, participating in all phases of said trials; researching and preparing appellate briefs and arguing appeals at all appellate levels; and providing legal advice and opinions to City officials, departments, and employees. Substantive areas of law will include general tort, personal injury, administrative, civil rights, and equity.   About Us:  The City Counselor’s Office is the Civil Law Department for the City of St. Louis.  It houses more than 50 lawyers and 20 support staff.  The City Counselor serves as chief
