Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is CA $161,500 - $233,500. This role is hybrid with on-site expectations of 2-3 days per week based out of San Diego, California; Mountain View, California; Los Angeles, California; Atlanta, Georgia; or Washington, DC site.
Responsibilities
Working with the legal department’s contracts and marketing group, this individual will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and advising upon various commercial transactions, technology licenses, SaaS, marketing, talent and influencer, promotion, sponsorship, agency, sales and other commercial contracts with minimal direction and supervision.
Understand the technical and business ramifications of the transactions worked on and help the business intelligently manage risk.
Address regulator inquiries, actions and new developments (including FTC activity).
Work closely with the business on matters including online social marketing, claims substantiation, comparative claims and the structuring and interpretation of survey results, including developing applicable disclaimers.
Take ownership on the authoring, revising, and maintenance of regulatory disclosures.
Draft, update, and maintain marketing playbooks and guidelines for the business based on applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Monitor state (primarily CA and NY) and federal regulatory developments with a focus on regulations, consent orders, FTC enforcement actions, and other regulatory issues relating to marketing, advertising and customer communications that may impact Intuit products and services.
Conduct internal training for business teams to facilitate implementation of marketing playbooks and guidelines.
Central to our group’s support model is constant effort to increase scalability/efficiency. The ideal candidate will be comfortable thinking outside the box and will be willing to participate / drive efforts to improve our day-to-day processes, tools and support models.
Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school or meet the requirements for legal education in a foreign country, or equivalent work experience.
Experience working in transactions and marketing compliance, preferably in the consumer financial, banking, fintech, or other highly regulated field.
Working knowledge of advertising and consumer protection laws such as CAN-SPAM and TCPA compliance.
Experience responding to examinations and audit requests.
Preferred: Familiarity with U.S. trademarks and copyright laws and general IP principles.
Ability to think strategically and leverage strong analytical skills.
Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally & build enduring partnerships.
Ability to prioritize and proactively manage multiple projects and marketing campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding verbal & written communication skills.
Strong desire to learn, high energy, positive mindset, a “can do” attitude, and the willingness to work on a wide variety of projects.
