Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird seeks an attorney to represent the Iowa Department of Human Services in child welfare cases. The attorney will appear in conflict and disagreement cases in juvenile court in approximately twenty counties in western Iowa. The right person will be passionate about public service and protecting the most vulnerable children in our State. Prior knowledge of Iowa Code 232 or work as a prosecutor or GAL in juvenile court is preferred but not required. The position requires some travel throughout Western Iowa—though the juvenile court may authorize some remote appearances—and admission to practice law in Iowa.
