The County of Ventura is currently seeking a Public Defender Immigration Specialist (Attorney II/III). Under the administrative direction of the Public Defender and the Assistant Public Defender, the Public Defender Immigration Specialist performs professional legal services as assigned by the Public Defender requiring interaction with clients, the public, other governmental agencies, and members of the legal profession. This position is responsible for providing trial attorneys with detailed and accurate advice regarding potential immigration consequences of criminal charges and formulating immigration-safe settlement offers and alternative dispositions.
