Prepares and/or presents cases in hearings before the Commission and Administrative Law Judges;
Prepares litigation-related documents, including applications, show cause documents, complaints, briefs, motions, and proposed orders and additional documents preparatory or incidental to the hearing of a case;
Participates in pre-hearing conferences and settlement conferences;
Examines and cross-examines witnesses;
Analyzes factual and legal issues involved in potential enforcement actions brought by the Public Utility Division;
Conducts specialized research of case law, statutes, policies, and regulations and prepares memoranda of law.
Drafts proposed administrative rules and leads or participates in the rulemaking process as set forth in Oklahoma’s Administrative Procedures Act.
Drafts proposed legislation and prepares reports on legislative changes;
Answers general inquiries concerning legal issues from the public and Commission personnel;
Performs related work as required and assigned.
Applicant must be admitted to the Oklahoma Bar and have three (3) years of experience in the practice of law with one (1) year of litigation experience, including depositions and courtroom appearances.
