The attorney will provide direct representation to clients in family and humanitarian-based immigration cases (primarily VAWA, AOS, CP, N-400, T visas, and U visas). Review and approve filings prepared by a team of organized, efficient, and hardworking paralegals and legal assistants. Ensure applications are free of substantive and typographical errors/inconsistencies; ensure that filings are completed accurately in a timely manner.
Meet with and communicate regularly with the team to ensure expected performance is met. Oversee casework, provide guidance on legal strategies and promote professional development through training and practice.
Provide direct representation for cases before USCIS and occasionally EOIR & federal district courts.
Conduct consultations with prospective clients.
Take part in the firm’s marketing activities and events.
Supervise employee performance and provide feedback, coach and provide performance improvement plans as needed.
