Mehlman Jacobs, LLP is a rapidly growing employment-based immigration law firm. We have multiple Immigration Associate positions available based in San Diego, CA,  Northern CA (Bay Area),  New York and New Jersey. Remote opportunities for experienced candidates in other areas may also be considered based on location and business need.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients in all aspects of U.S. employment-based immigration
• Maintain accuracy to high volume, rapid turnover caseload
• Review case documents and immigration petitions for filing with the appropriate government agency
• Direct and review the work of paralegals and other support staff
• Responsible for: nonimmigrant visa petitions (H-1B, L-1, E-1/E-2, TN, O-1) and permanent residency processing (PERM labor certification, PERM exempt I-140 petitions, and adjustment of status)
• Maintain a high level of communication with clients

• JD along with admission to any U.S. state bar
• Minimum 2-10 years of U.S. business immigration experience, with an emphasis on high-volume H/L NIV, IV and PERM filings
• Demonstrated experience providing consultations, guidance, and strategic analysis to U.S. based clients pertaining to employment-based immigration
• Excellent managerial, organizational and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to provide not only technical expertise, but provide proactive business solutions to our clientele that are in line with their needs.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment
