The Office of Credit Ratings (OCR) is filling one Supervisory Attorney-Adviser, SK-0905-17 position inthe following locations: New York, NY or Washington, DC.

The Office of Credit Ratings assists the Commission in executing its responsibility for protecting investors, promoting capital formation, and maintaining fair, orderly, and efficient markets through the oversight of credit rating agencies registered with the Commission as nationally recognized statistical rating organizations or NRSROs. 

Duties:

• Develop rulemakings and coordinate with other Divisions and Offices.
• Identify and develop new policy recommendations.
• Formulate interpretive guidance.
• Plan and execute constituent outreach in support of policy initiatives and provide advice on Enforcement matters.
• Prepare responses to requests for Commission exemptive relief, Staff no action, etc. and prepare Congressional testimony and responses to Congressional inquiries.
• Assess existing and/or proposed legislation to prepare responses and/or develop recommendations.
• Oversee the Regulatory Flexibility Act renewals and Paperwork Reduction Act renewals for OCR.

Conditions of Employment

• You must possess a J.D. or LL.B Degree.
• You must be an active member of the bar in good standing.
