About the Position: Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell offers a unique opportunity for a mid-level or senior transportation associate with transactional, litigation, or administrative law experience to join our firm. In this role, you will be a key member of our growing transit, transportation, and rail practice, which advises clients on transit and rail contracts, procurement, transit and rail infrastructure construction, and compliance with federal regulatory requirements, as well as representing our clients before federal regulatory agencies and in judicial proceedings. Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell also provides advice on the procurement of design-build, public-private partnerships (P3/PPP), and transit-oriented development (TOD) projects.
You will be uniquely positioned to have a significant impact from day one while also gaining valuable experience. Qualifications: We seek a motivated, intellectually curious individual with the following qualifications:
5-8 years relevant transactional, regulatory, and/or litigation experience as an attorney
Experience with and demonstrated ability to interact with client teams, including all levels of management, to communicate approaches to issues presented, and to receive and implement client goals and objectives
Law degree from accredited law school
Admission to practice within the United States and ability to join the Washington, DC Bar
Strong drafting, client, and project management skills
Excellent judgment and ability to work independently
Record of academic achievement
Location in or relocation to Washington, DC
