The Associate Immigration Attorney will be a passionate advocate for Immigration and Immigrant’s Rights. This position will be responsible for performing legal research, drafting documents, keeping client files up to date, and representing clients appearing before government agencies including USCIS, ICE and the Immigration Court.
Represent clients at hearings in immigration court and during interviews/appointments with government agencies including USCIS and ICE Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior attorney Prepare correspondence, motions, briefs and other documents related to clients’ applications for immigration benefits Communicate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently Conduct consultations with prospective clients Work together with Senior attorney to develop creative legal strategies Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff.
Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school Membership in good standing of any state bar Fully bilingual (verbal and written) in English and Spanish Valid driver's license Ability to work with senior attorney to best serve client needs and grow our client base Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorney
