Advertised Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to develop and conduct training programs for attorneys and other professionals in the field of children's law. Conducts training for DJJ staff and legal professionals involved in juvenile justice proceedings. Provides information on juvenile justice law and process. Develops and conducts training in connection with the Court Improvement Program including training programs for parent attorneys, volunteer guardians ad litem, and guardian ad litem program attorneys. Assists in delivery of court skills training for new DSS child welfare professionals, including participation in various roles in mock hearings.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Requires a law degree and minimum of three years of relevant experience, including practice in both child protection and juvenile justice proceedings. Must be member of South Carolina Bar.
