JOB SUMMARY: Troutman Sanders, a leading national law firm, has an exciting opportunity for a firmwide Attorney Development & Diversity Coordinator. This newly-created position will be responsible for providing professional support to the Attorney Development and Diversity departments in offices across the firm, with a particular focus on supporting training initiatives, diversity & inclusion efforts, mentoring programs, and a variety of special projects. Reporting to the Director of Professional Development and the Diversity & Inclusion Manager, this position is based in Atlanta, Georgia. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Attorney Development & Training - Coordinates planning and logistics for a variety of attorney training and development programs including summer associate, entry-level, mid-level, and senior associate learning academies, annual associate retreat, and other related programs.
- Coordinates and executes firmwide attorney mentoring program on an ongoing basis.
- Provides support to Attorney Development Committee (ADC) on an as needed basis. Responsibilities may include scheduling committee meetings, preparing materials, and updating records
- Provides support to Director of Professional Development, Attorney Training & Development Manager, and CLE Manager on a variety of initiatives.
Diversity - Provide support to the Firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee and Women’s Leadership & Growth Network. Responsibilities will include scheduling regular committee meetings, preparing materials, drafting minutes and assisting in other projects as assigned in support of the committees and affinity groups.
- Coordinate and execute aspects of periodic events and programs across all offices for the Diversity & Inclusion Committee and Women’s Leadership & Growth Network, including both internal and client-focused speaker series and other events.
- Create invitations to events, assist in solicitation of attendees, manage RSVPs, coordinate conference rooms/venue, arrange for food and speaker’s gifts, on-site coordination and trouble shooting.
- With guidance from Marketing Department, coordinate event communications, social media postings, monthly heritage month announcements, and maintenance of content for the Firm’s website and intranet site.
- Work with Marketing Department to request ads and marketing materials for various sponsorships.
- Provide administrative support for sponsorships of diversity-related conferences and community events where diverse attorneys represent the Firm.

- Assist in compilation of current diversity statistics and draft initial responses to RFPs and benchmarking surveys requested by clients and outside organizations; will prepare for review, diversity statistics and support preparing narrative responses.
Operations - Works with various individuals within the firm to ensure the appropriate reimbursement of expenses as well as tracking and paying of vendor bills in accordance with firm policies
