CT-based practice seeking an Associate with 2-5 years of business immigration experience to handle caseload of immigration and compliance matters for a wide range of clients. Prepare employment-based immigration petitions/applications/evidence/communications with ability to prioritize, organize, and complete in advance of deadlines, while being highly responsive to client needs. Regularly communicate to Partner case progress and potential case issues/strategy. Delegate paralegal assignments and review related work. Maintain organized, legally compliant files. Conduct legal research. Contribute to practice development and team environment. Qualified candidates will have substantive hands-on experience working with clients to analyze visa eligibility and compliance requirements and craft cases including but not limited to: nonimmigrant (E, H, J, K, L, O, P, TN, etc.) and immigrant (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3) visa petitions; PERM, AOS/IV, and naturalization applications; and RFE/audit responses. Required: excellent communication, case management, and organization skills; demonstrated attention to detail and initiative regarding assignments; ability to multi-task and adapt to ever-changing environment. Must be admitted to CT bar or able to waive in. Law firm experience with billable time tracking is highly preferred.
