The real estate attorney/senior real estate attorney must be able to independently manage sophisticated real estate transactions without supervision. The attorney will provide support to the real estate group and other attorneys throughout the Firm. The responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, analyzing, revising and negotiating legal documents.

Must have graduated from an accredited US law school with a GPA in the top 33%.
Must be licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar Association, or be prepared to sit for the Texas Bar.
A minimum of five (5) years of real estate experience, with specific experience in retail and commercial leasing required.
Must know all aspects of real estate law.
Must have excellent legal writing skills, with law firm training preferred.
Must have exceptional computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Software.
Experience working with various practice and matter management databases (iManage) and timekeeping and billing systems.
Must possess excellent English communication skills with the ability to speak and write clearly and informatively and able to read and interpret information.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must be willing to work additional hours and weekends as required for the role.
Exceptional communication, client service, organizational, time management and detail-oriented skills required for the role.
Must be able to independently manage sophisticated real estate transactions without supervision.
Substantial experience in commercial real estate development, leasing, acquisition and investment projects. Development, entity structuring, and financing experience is important.
Timeliness in responding to client needs and turning documents promptly.
Consistent follow-through and ability and flexibility to multi-task and effectively balance priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Ability and willingness to train younger real estate associates and paralegals.
Draft, review, analyze, revise and negotiate legal documents such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, deeds of trust, and other loan documents.
Ability to effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, third parties, etc., and maintain regular contact with all parties.
Must be highly organized and maintain electronic and hardcopy matter files per firm procedures.
Log and submit matter time and expense billing for matter files.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of attorneys, clients, employees, and third parties.
Provide frequent status updates to the supervising attorneys and clients, if requested.
Communicate well, show teamwork effort, and collaborate well with everyone the attorney comes in contact with.
