Villalobos & Moore's El Paso office is in search of two bilingual paralegals to assist with the family immigration cases. Duties include meeting with clients, organizing evidence, preparing drafts of applications and standardized forms based on existing templates, and working with the attorney to prepare finalized versions. The selected candidate will also manage his/her own calendar, communicate with clients and their families, and translate documents between Spanish and English. The selected candidate will be paid above market rate, plus 10 paid holidays and 10 paid vacation days. Overtime is available if desired. Regular training, daily communication with the attorney, and promotion from within are the hallmarks of how we treat our employees.
Complete fluency, both oral and written, in both Spanish and English is an absolute requirement. A Bachelor's degree is required. Three years experience is preferred, but not necessary. The selected candidate will have a strong commitment to immigrant rights and social justice, be highly organized, have an attention to detail, be a patient and compassionate listener, and have a yearning desire to help our immigrant clients and their families. Applicants should expect to answer questions related to their self-care as advocates during the Trump administration.
Additional Salary Information: An entry-level employee would be considered, which is why the salary range includes a lower-level entry-level wage; but, the preferred option is an experienced paralegal.
