Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for an Attorney Recruiting Manager in the Washington, DC office.

You will be the office representative to law schools, search firms, NALP, other professional organizations and other departments within Orrick. You will work closely with our dynamic partners to coordinate the lateral associate, lateral partner and summer program hiring process for the Washington, DC office. Your important role doesn’t end at the hire. You will continue to be a valuable resource to our attorneys throughout their employment cycle including the onboarding and off boarding processes. You will also collaborate with the Lawyer Development Team on associate training events and initiatives, such as the Summer Associate Academy, New Associate Orientation, and New Associate Academy.
You will be expected to understand Orrick's innovative vision and the Recruiting Department's role in accomplishing it and to know the firm and its practice groups, how to best represent Orrick and to identify the credentials and traits that are good predictors of successful Orrick lawyers.

Bachelor of Arts or Science or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum of 6 years’ experience in recruiting, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Experience with Lawcruit and PeopleSoft preferred.
Extraordinary verbal and written communications and presentation skills are essential.
Demonstrated leadership, organization and team-management skills.
The ability to be innovative and operate in an enthusiastic manner with a broad range of professionals. Demonstrated experience working both independently and harmoniously on team and in other organizational contexts/levels.
Adept at handling concurrent projects and challenging priorities in a high-volume, dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
Your ambition and dedication to work beyond the position’s written duties and assist in various areas of the firm’s operations is essential
Ability to travel as needed.
You will need the willingness to work occasionally during irregular evening and weekend hours when required for time-sensitive, project-specific activities and/or during urgent situations.
