We are looking for a full time Immigration Paralegal with 3-5 yrs of experience in removal defense and family-based petitions. Fully Bilingual (Eng/Spa). Our small office needs someone who is organized, self-motivated and who is ready to work files and interact with clients immediately. Candidate will also answer phone and manage the office calendar. The ideal candidate must be highly dependable, friendly, and professional; have a high attention to detail; be able to work under pressure. If extra work is needed to meet a deadline, we want someone who is willing to put in that extra effort.
The right candidate is someone who already has experience handling FOIA requests, filings for proceedings pending before the Immigration Court (detained and non-detained), the preparation of forms and filing packages to be sent to US Citizenship and Immigration Services ("USCIS") and everything else that comes with supporting an immigration attorney practicing immigration law. Capable of preparing simple letters, court motions and notices, in Microsoft Word. Knowledge of forms I-130; I-485; I-589; I-821D; I-601 and I-601A.
The employee will report directly to Attorney/Owner. Starting hourly pay will depend greatly on the candidate's experience. We are willing to pay the right person a wage commensurate with that candidate's experience in the field. We also offer a bonus program along with vacation time.
