Jackson Lewis is looking for an Immigration Associate to join our Omaha team. Ideal candidate will have JD from Accredited Law School, 3+ years immigration law experience, excellent academic credentials, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organization, time management and project management skills. Responsibilities to include preparation and filing of immigration applications, including immigration visa petitions, applications for permanent residency, naturalization applications, including PERMs, Preference Petitions and Adjustment of Status Applications. Preparation and filing of immigration applications, including immigrant visa petitions, applications for permanent residency, naturalization applications, including PERMs, Preference Petitions and Adjustment of Status Applications.
Liaising with relevant government agencies including USCIS, ICE, CBP, US Department of State, and US Department of Labor
Advise and train employers on a wide range of immigration laws and regulations
Represent employers before administrative agencies in a broad range of employment based immigration matters
Address client case status inquiries, including steps in process remaining, processing times, and consular appointment issues
At least 3 years Immigration experience
Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to excellence
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to manage client relationships for high-volume clients and complex projects under short deadlines
Proficiency with various technology platforms, including Office 2013 and LawLogix
Initiative, team orientation and professionalism
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment
