A management-side law firm that focuses on labor and employment, education, and business immigration seeks a full-time or part-time immigration attorney. Located on Boston’s North Shore, the Firm has a national presence and represent hundreds of clients in industries that include financial services, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, non-profit, and technology, as well as handling the full spectrum of issues facing educational institutions.
Although this individual will handle a steady stream of immigration work, the existing volume of work only requires a part-time role. If the individual brings a book of business, or has the ability to generate additional business, then there is the opportunity to work on a full-time basis.
The Firm has an immediate need for an experienced immigration attorney to join their practice on a part-time or full-time basis. S/he will regularly assist employers from small non-profits to large corporations with all aspects of non-immigrant visa processing, including H-1B, O-1, L-1A/B, and TN. In addition, s/he will work with employers to sponsor their foreign employees for a green card (PERM, I-140, I-485). Finally, s/he will assist employers with I-9 compliance and other immigration counseling issues.
This ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of direct substantive experience in Immigration law, outstanding research and writing skills, strong academic credentials, and excellent communication skills. S/he will be a self-starter, proactive, level-headed and must be able to think strategically in resolving all types of legal issues involving immigration.
