Our Legal Team is currently seeking a qualified Attorney to provide broad based legal support to the Gore Medical Products Division (MPD) and Pharm-Bio business.

This position is commensurate with a Senior Counsel position in a Legal Team with a traditional hierarchy. Some travel may be required to various Gore locations in Phoenix, Delaware, Maryland, Germany, Spain, Hong Kong and Japan. This position will be located in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Providing legal advice and counsel to MPD in support of the MPD Divisional General Counsel, and to the Pharm-Bio business leadership, advising the businesses with regard to US legal issues in a global context, including identification of legal risk, and liability avoidance
Drafting/ reviewing and negotiating a variety of contracts for MPD and Pharm-Bio (including, sales to OEMs, joint development, cooperation, distribution, real estate and cross-divisional agreements)
Providing legal advice to the MPD Contract Function on a wide variety of contracts (including sales, HCP services, supplier, group purchasing organizations, direct and indirect procurement, product distribution, consulting, grants, image releases, data privacy consents, collaborative research, clinical study and evaluation and non-disclosure agreements)
Collaborating with the MPD Contracts Function to develop and revise templates for MPD as part of the Legal Commercial/Contracts Team
Supporting in the provision of regulatory and compliance advice related to MPD and Pharm-Bio businesses
Providing legal advice on research and commercialization of new products, reviewing web-based, digital and traditional advertising, promotional and marketing collateral
Coordinating with the in-house legal specialists, as well as outside counsel, to secure necessary expertise to ensure that the businesses’ needs are met
Working closely with the business groups including leadership of the MPD and Pharm-Bio businesses
Working across various groups both within our Global Legal Team and Gore’s various businesses
Required Job Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.)
A minimum of five years’ of related legal experience, including in-house corporate experience in a regulated industry
Admitted to a US state bar as an active member
Minimum 3 years' experience in the areas of medical device industry, or with pharmaceutical, biotechnology or diagnostic companies - related regulatory compliance, data privacy, commercial transactions, contracts and product distribution matters
Responsive and pro-active and able to effectively multi-task and handle a variety of matters with competing priorities in a fast-paced matrix-based organization
Work directly with and effectively communicate orally and in writing with business associates
Demonstrated ability to:
Work across various business groups
Function independently and in a self-directed manner while also working effectively within a dynamic, highly cooperative team environment across several time zones
Collaborate with legal and business colleagues on a global, as well as local, basis
Ability to travel up to 15%, including some globally
Desired Job Qualifications:
Direct experience within the medical device industry
Experience as an in-house corporate counsel
